Australian Certification

1. Introduction

In Australia and New Zealand, type approval system is used. There is no specific compulsory safety certification mark and there is no need to carry out factory inspection. However, products which have EMC requirements shall apply for C-Tick, and products which have both safety and EMC requirements can also apply for RCM. Compared to C-Tick, RCM is not compulsory. Products which only have safety requirements (e.g. components like plugs and sockets) shall be printed on certificate number.

2. Qualifications and Accreditations

As a testing laboratory accredited by Australian government, CVC can provide safety, EMC and energy consumption testing and certification services for products listed in Table 1. Test reports issued by CVC can be directly recognized by Australian government and CVC can help enterprises get type approval certificate.
